Shoe Deal Round-up: Uggs, Birks, and Hunter Boot crazy markdowns!

I admit I have a weakness for shoe shopping! Part of the reason is that my feet tend to be quite picky, and part of the reason is that I love a good pair of cute shoes! I’m super tempted by some of these awesome bargains so I had to share them here before I push “buy”!

As I’ve mentioned before, Amazon Warehouse Deals is really one of my favorite sources for finding deals on shoes. You can’t BELIEVE the prices I have snagged on some amazing brands. Remember, Amazon Warehouse deals includes products that might have been overstocks, or returns, or even damaged in shipping. So be sure to read the fine print. Amazon’s generous return policy still applies, so in my opinion you’ve got nothing to lose when it comes to deal shopping in Amazon Warehouse Deals!

The links you’ll find in this post are affiliate links. Thanks for helping me make my blogging hobby a little bit more productive for our family!

The World’s Greatest Jean Jacket: Costco Find!

Jean Jackets have always held a special place in my heart. I actually vividly remember my very first jean jacket when I was probably 10 or 11 because it was the first clothing item I clearly remember choosing myself! Jean Jackets have been a fashion must-have for decades now and it’s hard to imagine a better choice for wardrobe staple than this American classic! But why is a good jean jacket SO hard to find? And why did I own SO many jean jackets that never really got worn? After years of searching, I’ve found a jean jacket that I truly love and it’s time to share with the world.

In my adult life I have probably owned 6 or 8 different jean jackets and tried on countless others. I have always liked the look and thought it would make a great addition to my closet but never loved the fit and always found myself reaching for a cardigan or sweatshirt instead. Why? Jean jackets are often stiff, too loose, and fail to allow for the range of movement I need in my life!

Because my Barefoot Dreams Cardigan post has been one of the most popular posts on my blog, I wanted to make a similar post sharing this awesome denim jacket find!

The Jean Jacket of my dreams comes from Costco of all places. (This is not the first time I’ve found closet staples at Costco!) I bought my first one last year and have worn it so much I’m thinking of grabbing another. Because it’s a soft, stretchy knit rather than a heavy denim, it is comfortable and gives me all the room I need to move, reach, grab and slouch to my heart’s content. This year, the Costco Jean Jacket is back and my store recently marked them down to $9.97. Can you believe it? I totally recommend grabbing these if you can find them because you can’t beat the price. Unfortunately they aren’t on the website right now, but I will update if they pop back up again this summer.

If you can’t find these at Costco, never fear! They also now available on Amazon. Click here for Buffalo Knit Denim Jacket. I believe this is last year’s version although the wash seems a little different. But the magic is definitely in the knit! Here’s another Buffalo Knit Jean Jacket, in dark wash and in a very pale pink which is a great spring/summer neutral. You’ll be paying a little more on Amazon than Costco but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in the comfort you’re getting for the cost!

Here are a few pics of me in the Costco Denim Jacket. Both jackets are size small, but as you can see they fit me a little bit differently. The one downsize to Costco clothing is that I’ve found their sizes can be somewhat inconsistent. I’ll try to update this post soon with some better pics of my jacket.

Do you have the Buffalo Knit Denim Jacket? Let me know if you love it like I do!

Amazing Deal: $7.50 for e-cloth cleaning set…..clean with just water!

I’ve been using e-cloth for cleaning for a couple years now and just had to share this deal with you! Right now, get this 3 piece household cleaning set for only $7.50……plus you should be able to save $10 using this referral link:

Click here to save $10 on ecloth!

Then click on the overstock clearance tab at the top to find the 3 piece deal and several other amazing bargains. I’m sorry I missed out on a couple other steals, but I did buy FOUR sets of these because I know I will use them daily.

E-cloth is an affordable alternative to Norwex cloths and they work GREAT. You can clean with just water or use them with mild cleaners (I use mine with Force of Nature). I especially love the polishing cloths for glass and at this price it’s a NO-BRAINER.

I’m not sure if the $10 off will work with clearance, but it’s worth a try!

Cheaper than Hanna Andersson: Matching Holiday Pajamas for the Family

The Holiday Season is quickly approaching and one of our favorite ways to enjoy the cozy colder months is with matching holiday pajamas. Traditionally, we have invested in Hanna Andersson pajamas because they are incredible quality that really lasts from year to year (through child after child) but if you can’t find a deal they can be really pricey! Last year I found Christmas pajamas on a great sale in January or February but this year I’m scrambling in November.

The great thing is, more companies now make cotton pjs in family sizes and Amazon has a great selection right now, making them more affordable with our favorite 2-day-shipping. I really appreciate you clicking through my Amazon links which will help cover some of my family’s Christmas purchases (at no extra cost to you).

So let me share what I’ve found! I’m only sharing pajamas that seem to have great reviews and most are also 100% cotton because we are obsessed with the softness and durability of our favorite Hannas!

Holiday Pajama Deals

First up, these Shelry Cotton Holiday PJs, in tons of sizes starting at only $12.99. There are traditional green white stripes, plus several festive prints including a really adorable Christmas Tree Truck style!

If you just need children’s sizes, these Shelry Striped Pajamas are the cheapest I could find for the traditional red and white or green and white striped sets in sizes 18 months through Kids 14. All sizes are only $11.99-$14.99 so these are a great deal!

Hoping for a Red & Green option (with no stain-tempting white)? Here’s what I found from Leveret! This brand is a little pricier but I have found they have great quality and similar thickness to our favorite Hannas. (And still beat them price-wise).

Looking for something a little less traditional? I love this black and white Sykooria Christmas Family option with prices starting at only $16.59. There aren’t baby sizes for this style but this might be more fun for families with older kids like mine, since the style is a little more “cool”.

I know a lot of families would abosolutely adore this PajamaGram Star Wars pattern! The pants for thsese are polyesther but seriously check out the cute pattern and these are priced starting at only $14.99.

Back to Red & White again, these Gold Treasure PJs are crazy affordable at only $9.90 each with limited sizing.

This Yallet Christmas Family PJ listing starts at only $14.99 and includes lots of sizes. I love the plaid!

There are so many Christmas holiday pjs available on Amazon, with really affordable and unique styles. Click here to check out the whole selection and get ready for a cozy family holiday season!

Barefoot Dreams Knock-off Cardigan!

This post contains amazon referral links for your convenience.

CLICK HERE FOR THE UPDATED POST!

This is going to be a quick post, but one that I’m excited to share because I’ve been looking for a product like this for about a year. A couple years ago, I read about the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan from a blog. They are pretty pricey (click here for the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan) but I was able to hunt down a gently used one on Ebay and I absolutely loved it. Until I ruined it in an unfortunate laundry disaster (not my first one, either). So sad.

Ever since then, I had been watching for a deal on the real thing, but it was just really out of my budget (although having owned one, I do kind of think they are worth it). I had recently even been googling “Barefoot Dreams knock-off cardigan” hoping to find something similar at a lower price point. I never got lucky enough to find it, but this week I stumbled across exactly what I was looking for completely by accident!

The newest version of the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan is the Circle Cardi and I found a very similar knock-off for only $25! I couldn’t believe how similar they are! Check out the two stock photos; they are identical!

Click here for the Costco version, the Max & Mia Travel Cardigan for only $25.I wanted to share that I already received the cardigan and it is very nice. I do feel that it runs a little small and I would recommend sizing up to get the fit that is shown on the model. I ordered the Medium Size in black and here are photos of me wearing it. For reference I’m 5’6″ and 150 lbs. Yes I just shared my real weight on my blog. Seems like a mistake, but we’ll go with it for now. I think I would like to try a large but unfortunately they are out of stock at this moment. Hopefully they will restock because this is a newer item and I’m sure it will be very popular.

The only difference I want to point out is that the Costco cardigan is recommended to be hand wash rather than machine wash. That’s kind of a bummer, if you ask me, but not a deal breaker. I will most likely just wash it cold gentle and lay flat to dry.

Here’s a pic so you can see how long it is in the back. I would prefer a little more length, I think. The sleeves are also pretty tight but I believe that is similar to the Barefoot Dreams cardigan and they aren’t too bad for me. It wouldn’t work for layering over a thicker shirt. I hope this was helpful for you! If you happen to have a Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardi or the Max & Mia Travel Cardigan, please let us know what you think!

Win a FREE Force of Nature Starter Kit!

This post contains affiliate links for your convenience. I will receive a commission from items purchased. Thank you for supporting my little blog and allowing me more time to write!

It’s time for another amazing giveaway! I’m really excited about this one because this is a product that will definitely make your life easier and less stressful, particularly at this time of year. Are you excited?!?

I have been using Force of Nature for a few months and I am SO happy with the product. Like many of you, I know that most cleaning products have a lot of dangerous ingredients, so for years I have been trying to improve my cleaning routine and make it safer for my family. Unfortunately, in the past my efforts meant ditching conventional products like Clorox or Windex for “green” brands like Mrs. Meyer’s or Method. A few years ago I started learning that even those brands had dangerous fragrances and additives! It’s frustratingly difficult to protect yourself from dangerous substances.

If you want to read more about dangerous ingredients in “Natural Cleaners”, click here.

In my family we have tons of allergies, asthma and a history of auto-immune disorders. So it is SERIOUSLY important for me to minimize every possible risk to protect our already compromised health.

After being disillusioned with Mrs. Meyer’s and Method cleaners, my next step was to try Young Living’s Thieves Cleaner. I know so many people who love this product but I still wasn’t super happy with it. It was definitely an improvement on other products, but I still had concerns. I have read medical research that suggests these oils are not safe for young children or asthmatic and immune-compromised individuals.

Here’s a helpful article that talks about the risks with thieves blends used around children.

Please note that I love and use essential oils, including Young Living brand and I still have a bottle of Thieves cleaner that I’m finishing up. I just didn’t think that was where I would land as a permanent cleaning solution! I finally found a cleaner that I have no worries or concerns about and that is Force of Nature Cleaner.

So what is Force of Nature, exactly?

electricity + salt, water, vinegar = electrolyzed water

Electrolyzed water is an industrial technology that’s commonly used for its efficacy yet lack of harmful chemicals, fumes & residues. The active ingredient, hypochlorous acid, is even used as the active ingredient in wound, eye & veterinary care products. Force of Nature creates electrolyzed water by using electricity to change the chemical composition of salt, water & vinegar.

Deal Alert! Instant Pot Instant Pot Ultra 6 Qt 10-in-1 $99.96

This post contains referral links:

Do any of my readers still not have an Instant Pot? If you haven’t pulled the trigger on this one, I have failed as a blogger! It’s not too late to right this wrong, though. At this moment, the latest greatest Instant Pot is at it’s lowest price ever! The 6 quart 10-in-1 model is only $99.96; that’s $50 off!

We now have two Instant Pots and use them multiple times a week. I often use one for meat and the other for rice or a main course in one, potatoes in the other. Or I will have both multi-tasking to make bone broth and hard boiled eggs to get ready for the week. I’ve even doubled up on soup for a hosted dinner. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all so much quicker and easier. We just couldn’t cook without them!

Check out a few of the ways I use the Instant Pot:

Hard-boiled Eggs in the Instant Pot

Delicious Ribs in the Instant Pot

Real Mac ‘n Cheese in the Instant Pot

Loaded (with Veggies) Potato Soup in the Instant Pot

If you are looking for a great cookbook, I recommend Great Food Fast by Bob Warden.

Let me know what you make in your Instant Pot, I’m always looking for new recipes!

Deal Alert: Instant Pot 7-in-1 $69.99 Today Only!

This post contains affiliate links!

Today only, the 6 quart 7-in-1 Instant Pot is only $69.99! I didn’t expect to see this price again between now and Black Friday!

I’ve mentioned the Instant Pot about 57 times on this blog, but my point still stands: It’s the best investment I’ve made in a kitchen appliance ever. So much so, that I’ve just purchased a second Instant Pot so that I can have the yogurt option and use both IPs side by side. There are times when I want to make rice in one, meat in the other or simply batch cook a few things at a time. I thought about getting an 8 qt, but ultimately I knew I would appreciate having two interchangeable inner pots more than a bigger size. I can’t wait to make yogurt!

Last night about 4pm, I started having that creeping, dinner-panic because Sundays are usually not planned on our meal planner. We had already eaten out twice over the weekend, and I hadn’t gone grocery shopping so I knew I needed to pull something out of basically nothing.

I opened the pantry and found potatoes and onions that were really nearly at the end of their usefulness. From the fridge I pulled out carrots and celery that certainly weren’t at the peak of freshness. I added some chicken broth, some milk, some garlic and some spices. I sauted the veggies, then added everything else and turned the Instant Pot to manual for 5 minutes. Writing this paragraph basically took longer than making this soup. For the official recipe for leftover-busting Loaded Potato Soup, click here. I didn’t have the broccoli, but, like most of my recipes, this is incredibly forgiving and flexible. It ended up being the perfect October 1st soup, and it saved a whole bunch from being totally wasted!

That’s one of many examples of how the Instant Pot saves dinner, time and again! Click here to get your Instant Pot.

Deal Alert + Amazing New Amazon Shopping Hint!

I wasn’t planning on blogging this morning; to be honest I was planning on cleaning the bathrooms. But I happened upon a good deal on Columbia Women’s Fleece Jackets that I wanted to share and at the same time I figured out something I have always tried to discover about shopping on Amazon. I’m pretty certain this trick will be a game-changer for me and some of you guys also!

As a reminder, these are Amazon Affiliate Links, so if you make a purchase, you will help support my blog (at no additional cost to you).

First, check out this great deal on Columbia Women’s Benton Springs Full-zip Fleece Jacket! This morning they were running as low as $13 for certain size/color combos but I think now the lowest you will be able to find is closer to $16. Still an awesome deal, so click here.

Now check out this tip!

For years, I have been trying to figure out how to see the REAL deals on Amazon. I have even chatted with amazon reps a couple times trying to understand how the pricing works, but they have not been able to help me. For example, say you are searching for a particular brand but you aren’t picky about color. A product link may say, $9.80-$47.32 and you think, “wow, I would love to find the $9.80 size and color combo!” but when you click on the options there are 79 different possible selections and clicking through is super annoying and time consuming. At this point, I thought (and was told by Amazon) that there wasn’t a way to find that lowest price point other than random guessing. Especially with clothing or shoes that have different size/color combos this is really frustrating! But I found a way, and here it is, with screen shots.

Step 1: Enter your search term in Amazon.com. In this case I entered “Columbia Jacket”, and these were the results. Then notice that the third result starts at $16.27 so let’s click on that!

Step 2: Once you clicked on the product, select a size and color combo and look to the bottom beneath the “add to cart” button. See, where it says “New (12) from $27.99….” ? Click that link. (Hint: a size and color from “other seller” won’t give you this option, so make sure you have selected one that is available via Prime)

Step 3: Now you will see the option to select size. You could click your desired size at this point, but I chose to click the “Lowest Offer for Each” button. Next select the color drop-down menu, and at the very top you will see “Lowest Offer for Each”.

Step 4: You will get to this page, which will show you the very cheapest size/color combos, starting at $16.27 for the size Large, purple dahlia/rosewater combo. Awesome, right?

I hope this helps you! Especially when you are shopping for multiple folks, several kids or are willing to buy shoes ahead at the right price point, this could really save time! Thanks for reading, and happy shopping.

Quick Reviews of Favorite Gifts

This was a modest Christmas for us gift-wise, but it was thoroughly enjoyed. Besides taking two out of three children to Urgent Care on Christmas Eve, and less than stellar health we had a fun holiday with lots of family time. Gifts were not the focus of our celebration by any means but I do want to share a couple that were hits, along with their affiliate links for your convenience.

Razor Sole: For our ten year old twin girls, we were looking for an active toy and considered scooter upgrades, skates, and long boards. We wound up tossing the dice a bit and going with the Razor Sole, which I had never heard of but has good reviews. It’s kind of like a hybrid between a skateboard, scooter and skates.

This is a little intimidating for cautious kids and the first couple tries they were very timid. But after a couple hours at the park, they were thoroughly enjoying the fun of balancing and leaning to steer. The great thing about this toy is that it’s very low to the ground, so easy to jump off. It’s also very small and easy to carry/store (this is super important since we have no garage!). These are rated for adults and can be used for lots of stunts and tricks although I am not encouraging the girls to try anything like that yet! At about $30, I think this will get a ton of use and enjoyment over the next few years. Click here to check it out on Amazon.

Brain Flakes by Viahart: This 500 piece building set has gone up to $19.99 but when we ordered it was only $12.99! The canister is small but there are plenty of colorful pieces for several children to build with. These were a surprise hit over the holidays with EVERYONE from adults to kids. I would like to caution that they are quite small and I would categorize them as a choking hazard, despite the fact that similar toys are advertised for toddlers. I will have to take some pics of some of the huge creations that the kids came up with. For $19.99, I think they are a great toy. For $12.99, this was a crazy deal and I love that they were fun for all three kids plus any adults within reach. Click here for similar toys at different price points!

I will share some more later! What were the big hits in your home this Christmas?

Stuff we love: Get it in time for Christmas!

Today is the last day to order Prime items for Christmas delivery! I wanted to share some of our very favorite items in a quick list (in no particular order). Many of these I have mentioned before, so I won’t elaborate on WHY I love them in this post. Remember, I am an Amazon affiliate so if you choose to purchase I receive a very small commission.

Please, be sure to check each item in your cart to ensure it is still available in time for Christmas. As we all know, Amazon changes by the hour!

Thanks for reading & Merry Christmas!
