Brand NEW wool& Tessa Dress REVIEW & TRY-ONS

wool& Tessa Shelf Bra Dress: A Minimalist’s Dream with Built-In Support
When wool& announced the Tessa Shelf Bra Dress, I was immediately intrigued. A sleek silhouette and no bra needed? Sign me up, stat. Knowing how much I have enjoyed my wool& Roam Cami Slip, I was excited to see how Tessa could be a summer staple for my mostly wool wardrobe. This post contains affiliate links. First Impressions & Try-ons for this simple summer dress by wool&
Slightly thicker than wool& Roam, the brand new wool& Tessa is constructed from wool&’s Signature 200 fabric—82% merino wool and 18% nylon. It’s a midweight which gives it a little more coverage and allows it to glide over those lumps (and lately my lumps are lumpier). As always, blending nylon into the merino allows all that softness and breathability that comes with wool, with extra durability and stretch so that it performs even better.

Sizing Note: I’m 5’6”, 200 pounds, and an apple/pear shape. I carry weight around the middle and in my thighs, but underneath I have a small frame which can make sizing tricky! I’m wearing a large in Tessa.

The Cut & Design of wool& Tessa makes it the perfect summer slip dress!
The dress features a sweetheart neckline, wide straps for added support, and, of course, the built-in shelf bra. It definitely fits a little different than the Roam Cami Slip and I would say it’s slimmer and more fitted, especially at the shoulders and straps.

What makes the wool& Tessa so comfortable and wearable?
I went with size Large, and the fit is exactly what I wished for. The dress hugs the body without feeling restrictive, and the built-in bra gives light support. The band of the shelf bra is generous and not too tight or restrictive. It’s very comfortable and the shelf bra features a fully fabric covered elastic around the band making it very comfortable. It hits me at just the right spot (if you’ve ever had a shelf bra that’s just not quite long enough, you know what I mean!). I am wearing this dress with CAKES and they are the perfect match. Looking for a merino dress with simple, breezy, style versatility?
If you are looking for a dress with truly limitless styling potential, the Tessa is versatility in a dress! Sleek, minimalist with enough coverage to wear alone, but it’s also perfect as a base for endless layering opportunities. I just grabbed a few options from my closet, but I can think of dozens more pieces to pair with it. This dress comes in three color options—Black, Marine Blue, and Rosewood so you can choose a color that fits your closet best.

Worried about washing merino wool? It’s so easy!
Caring for the Tessa is as simple as the rest of the wool& lineup. The merino wool’s natural properties mean it’s odor-resistant and wrinkle-resistant, reducing the need for frequent washing. When I say it will need less washing, I really mean it. When it does need a refresh, a gentle hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle with cold water is all you need. Lay flat to dry to maintain shape and longevity and it also dries FAST.

I can’t wait to wear wool& Tessa at home and for summer trips!
I consider the Tessa another homerun hit from wool& and heading into a South Carolina summer, I know I will have plenty of chances to really put this dress through the paces. I’ll come back and update you guys, but until then, feel free to join my Facebook Community, Wool Obsessed for more natural fiber wardrobe talk, reviews, coupon codes, and more!
