I’m wearing size XL in the full-length version (I’m 5’6″ and around 200 lbs) and I am super happy with the fit. Right off the bat, the dark chocolate brown feels so good for fall: it’s rich and I found it pairs beautifully with all my favorites from denim to black to white and all my beloved jewel-tones, too. If you’re thinking new leggings without defaulting to the same old black versions, this a great neutral option. I’m seeing SO much dark brown this year, too.
Fit & Feel
These leggings are an excellent blend of sleek and supportive. They are high waisted, and the compression isn’t too much for me (sometimes I feel a little trapped, but the fit is good). For me, the waistband is quite high and when I sit, I find it to roll down slightly. This is pretty standard for me with leggings so I’m not docking points for this. There is a smidge extra length for me but not so much that it bunches up. Because I carry weight around my hips/thighs/stomach, I appreciated that they didn’t cling in an unflattering way, but instead gently smoothed and supported. I think they do a pretty good job of smoothing out my love handles. You CANNOT see my underwear line (I am wearing Branwyn Essential Hipsters) so that’s a huge plus!
Fabric & Texture
One of the standout features is the ribbed‐fabric detailing in the design: you can see subtle texture lines that add visual interest and dimension, this is especially lovely for this time of year when texture makes such a difference in an outfit! That ribbed knit gives a little extra structure, so the leggings feel firmer than standard cotton-spandex—yet still stretchy enough for all those comfy cozy fall moments.
Why These Branwyn Essential Compressive Leggings in Mocha Brown are PERFECT for Fall
- Color: This dark rich brown is gorgeous. I found it a little hard to photograph, so you’ll just have to believe me that has a beautiful warmth I can’t quite capture.
- Ribbed texture + compression: Once it’s getting cool, I can’t wait to layer these with my sweaters and boots, and even with a shorter shirt I didn’t feel too exposed. These are truly leggings that feel like pants.
- Versatility: Because of the merino base, you get that nice natural fiber feel (which ya’ll know I love) while still having durable stretch. There is also a reinforced section between the thighs which I’m thrilled about since that’s an area that gets hit hard when it comes to my shape.
Final Thoughts
These leggings hit a sweet spot: they’re comfortable, supportive, stylish, and perfect for the cooler months. If you’re looking for a legging that feels elevated (not just “workout gear”), this is an excellent choice.
